Sydney made us breakfast on Saturday morning. She has become quite the little chef just like her grandpa in NY.
Saturday afternoon we headed out to the local German/American Volksfest. This year celebrated the 50th Anniversary this fest was being held so it was a pretty big bash.
Volksfest's are always a blast. They have the big kids tent (the beer tent) complete with music and beer. Don't worry there is plenty of stuff for the smaller kids to do too. My one and only gripe about the Volksfest is the rides are so expensive. For the kiddos to each ride one ride can cost anywhere from $6-$8. Needless to say the kiddos didn't ride too many rides.
Saturday evening we went to BBQ at a friend's house. We had a fantastic time!! He lives out on a farm complete with bunnies, cows and lots of land for the kids to run around. While the kids ran themselves to death Paul and I were able to sit back and relax enjoying good conversation with friends.
Sunday was an early morning for me and Syd. Our neighbor's daughter was being Baptized so it was a neighborhood event. After the Baptism we headed up to Wuerzburg for a day of school clothes shopping. However we ended up with a bunch of new toys and other items for Banjo instead of the kids...
So things have been pretty busy around here with very little traveling. We do have a big trip planned later in the month to Belgium. I'll be sure to post pics of that :)
