HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!!!

SYRACUSE DROPS #18 LOUISVILLE 38-35
Anyone who is a college football fan or lives in Syracuse knows just what a disappointment College football is for us. Heck, Syracuse had given up on football years ago and just looks at football as a painful experience we must endure before the real fun starts with college hoops. After all this is the town where Syracuse fans wear t-shirts that say:
"Syracuse a basketball town with a football problem"
So if you can only imagine my disbelief when I saw Syracuse was winning. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had to call my Dad in Syracuse to make sure my AFN signal wasn't screwed up due to a terrorist attack trying to cause mass confusion because something like Syracuse winning a college football game could send someone into shock. I couldn't believe the scoreboard...The ORANGE was winning!!!
I think Paul summed it up best when he said....
"Even the sun has to shine on a dog's ass every now and again"
Syracuse stuns No. 18 Louisville behind Robinson's 4 TDs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Andrew Robinson threw for a career-high 423 yards and four touchdowns as Syracuse stunned No. 18 Louisville 38-35 on Saturday.
Taj Smith caught four passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns for the Orange (1-3, 1-0 Big East) as Syracuse ended Louisville's 20-game home winning streak by dominating the listless Cardinals (2-2, 0-1).
The victory was Syracuse's first road conference win and first victory over a ranked team since beating Boston College at the end of the 2004 season.
Brian Brohm completed 45-of-65 passes career-high 555 yards and four scores for Louisville, but the Cardinals' defense allowed Syracuse -- which entered the game ranked near the bottom nationally in every offensive category -- to pile up 465 yards and make big play after big play.
Syracuse built a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter before trying to make it interesting late. The Orange the ball over twice in the final minutes allowing Louisville to get within three with 56 seconds left.
The ensuing onside kick, however, failed to go 10 yards and the Orange held on.
Following a last-second meltdown in a loss to arch rival Kentucky, the Cardinals spent all week talking about improving communication on a defense that ranked among the worst in the country.
It didn't work.
Syracuse needed just one play to take the lead as Anderson hit Smith for a 79-yard touchdown. The play was symptomatic of Louisville's defensive struggles all season, as Smith found himself all alone at midfield with no Louisville player within 10 yards when he caught the ball, allowing him to run free to the end zone.
It didn't get much better for the Cardinals.
Syracuse built a 21-7 lead at the half behind a 93-yard kickoff return by Max Suter and a 42-yard pass from Anderson to little-used wide receiver Da'Mon Merkerson. Syracuse had 234 yards of total offense in the first half, 35 more than the Orange had been averaging for an entire game.
Louisville, which entered the game leading the country in yards per game, had little trouble moving the ball, but had several drives sputter in Syracuse territory and turned the ball over four times.
Every time Louisville appeared ready to stage a comeback, the Orange responded. Brohm hit Douglas for a 35-yard score in the third quarter to pull within 21-14, but Robinson hit Smith on a delayed screen, and he broke a couple of tackles on his way to a 60-yard touchdown.
Brohm was intercepted by Jameel McClain on Louisville's next possession, and a 26-yard field goal by Patrick Shadle pushed the lead to 31-14.
Brohm hit Gary Barnidge for a 2-yard touchdown to get back within 10 early in the fourth quarter, but Anderson calmly led the Orange right back down the field.
Anderson consistently found wide-open receivers running free in Louisville's reeling secondary. He averaged nearly 25 yards a completion and seemed unfazed by Louisville's pressure. Facing third and 5 at the Louisville 17, Anderson found Mike Williams underneath, and he slipped into the end zone to put it out of reach.
Syracuse's 38 points were more than the Orange had in the first three games of the season combined (32).
Syracuse's defense, which had taken its share of lumps, did enough to make Anderson's heroics stand up. Though they allowed Louisville to rack up 628 yards of total offense, they recovered two fumbles and picked Brohm off twice.
Louisville's troubles extended beyond the defense. The Cardinals committed 12 penalties for 105 yards, had punts of 11 and seven yards and were booed heavily by the sellout crowd, most of which headed for the exits long with plenty of time left on the clock.

We are still alive and kicking!!
We have been EXTREMELY busy here.
I really need to take the time to sit down and catch everyone up but lately sitting down isn't a luxury I have had.
To give you an extremely brief update:
I am extremely busy with school and volunteering at the kids school. I some how in the midst of filling out a volunteer form and a phone call ended up as Zac's homeroom mom. That has kept me very busy and rarely at home. I am taking a very full course load this semester with 18 credit hours. I am only a month into this semester and my brain is already mush. I also have a variety of other things going on. As most of you know I am a Master Trainer in AFTB so i'm gearing up to get back into that again. On the bright side I have kept my promise to Paul and have stayed clear of the FRG. I'm still on full blown burn out mode there especially after Ft. Gordon.
Paul has been very busy with work since it is the end of the fiscal year and he handles all the procurement for the network and computers. He also has had some other issues going on at work so he has been working insane hours in addition to coaching soccer again.
The kids are doing great in school! Syd finally has a permanent teacher as of this Wednesday and they finally moved the kids out of the Girl Scout Hut into a more permnanet building for the the remainder of the school year. Zac is playing football and man do I have some great news to share with everyone about that. He LOVES football!!! However, you have to wait until I blog about football. Syd is playing soccer again and she is really kicking butt as goalie! We also have Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and starting in October kicks off chorus and the reading club for the kids.
The down side to all these sports is it keeps Paul and I running. 6 days a week we have a sporting event. Football practice three days a week, followed by games on Saturdays and the other two days soccer practice for Syd and sometimes games during Zac's football practice. Frozen dinners are our best friend right now and if I eat Burger king one more time I may throw up. That is our life right now.
As soon as I get a chance to breath I will deftinely give everyone the full run down. I hope to get another blog up tomorrow to fill everyone in on Zac's football.
