One Very LONG Car Ride

and we are safely back at my mom's. It definitely was the car ride form hell today. Miami and Homestead were both PITA's but the real icing on the cake was the Florida Turnpike being shutdown due to an accident.

So what do you do when you have a really long car ride?

You take meaningless pictures :)

Old part of the seven mile bridge. I will write more about this later..

Going over the Seven Mile Bridge...

Sitting in ANOTHER traffic tram so I thought I would take a pic of the moon..

Pretty early evening shot...

Cheeseburger in Paradise

How can any Buffet fan go to Key West without making a stop here...

We can officially say now that we have had a cheeseburger in paradise :)

Gone To Margaritaville!!

Tomorrow *P* and I leave for our getaway to Key West. This little get away is to celebrate our 10th Anniversary which we celebrated back in April. Don't worry about the kids Grandma *W* has a fun filled week planned for them. I think the kids are more excited about us leaving then we are.

We are going to be staying at a beautiful hotel compliments of *D* and her employee discount. You have to LOVE family for that :)

We Made it!!

After two connections and one very long day (22 hours) we made it to Florida! After the flight here I am definitely not looking forward to the flight back. Zac did pretty well but Sydney is a whole different story. It was one VERY long day!

We have been here for a week and still haven't been to the beach yet! Mind you we are only 2 blocks from the beach but haven't had a chance to go yet with all the errands we had to take care of. Also hindering our beach trip is red tide is in right now along the east coast. The news says the red tide should be gone by the end of next week. For those of you not familiar with red tide you can read about it here Red Tide

So what have we been doing?

Running lots of errands, spending endless hours in Target and Wal-Mart and last Saturday we got to see the largest military rocket launch. It was beautiful clear night so I got some really neat launch footage. Last Sunday, grandma and grandpa surprised Zac with tickets to his first professional football game. We had a blast! Even Sydney had a good time and she HATES football.

Yesterday Paul and Zac spent the better part of the afternoon fishing off my mom's dock in the back...

As you can see we have been busy busy busy! Sunday Paul and I leave for Key West for 4 days. It is our little get away to celebrate our 10th Anniversary since we didn't have a chance to get away (just the 2 of us). Although it sounds like the real party will be here at my mom's. The kids keep asking when we are leaving because I guess grandma has told them that's when the real party starts...HA-HA-HA!!!

Our Star Student

We are very proud of our little star student. Sydney made the A/B honor roll.

Sydney also is in chorus this year and she had her first concert the same night of the ceremony recognizing the honor roll students.

There's No Smiling in Football

I had to share this picture of Zac. Today was his end of year football party so he was in full football makeup when he got home.

Trick Or Treat

We had a blast this past Halloween. In all our years in the military we have never once Trick or Treated on post so this was a new and somewhat different experience. After all the Trick or Treating we spent the remainder of our evening at Zac's teacher's house. She truly is a wonderful lady with such a big heart.

The kids really cleaned up. I think we will still be eating candy this time next year :)
